MEET THE COACHES
Sam King, a Northeast Ohio Native, graduated from Brookfield High School in 2005 where he was inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame for his basketball accomplishments. Sam's college basketball career was played at The University of Mount Union where he was the starting Point Guard & led the team in minutes played & assists all 4 years. He was also the Team Captain his junior and senior year. He became Head Assistant Coach upon graduating from Mount Union with his BA in Business Administration. Over the past decade, Sam has become widely known as an expert Skill Enhancement Basketball Trainer for children as young as 18 months old, ranging to players at the collegiate & professional levels. Sam is Head Coach & Owner of Huddle Up Hoops, training all coaches.

Adam Prescott, a Northeast Ohio native, spent two years with the basketball program at Mount Union College before earning his Bachelor's degree in Sports Management (2008). Adam proceeded to enjoy a lengthy career in Athletic Communications for Otterbein University, helping cover/support the journeys of many successful teams, coaches, and student athletes over 16 years. During that run, he obtained his Master's degree in Allied Health Administration while assisting the promotion of many camps and clinics. Adam is Head Coach of Training & Development & supports our Central Ohio market.

Jordan Colvin, a Southeast native, has a degree in Sports Management at Ohio University. Coach Jordan has experience as a former Assistant Basketball Coach for both men's and women's teams at Hocking College. Jordan is coaching in childcare centers in the Central Ohio market.

Caleb Owens, a Cleveland, Ohio native, joined the U.S. Army after graduating high school. He is currently pursuing a degree in Health Science at Franklin University. Caleb has played in various recreational, Columbus city, and Army leagues. He has also volunteered with I9 Sports, coached AAU teams for Hidden Gems and led Army intramural teams. He is coaching in childcare centers in the Central Ohio market.

Jordan Harbison was born & raised in Butler, PA, and played college basketball at Geneva College from 2010 to 2014. He graduated in 2014 with degrees in Business, Sports Management and Sports Coaching. After graduation, Jordan became a skills development coach with "The Scoring Factory" in Pittsburgh working with players at the youth, high school, college and professional level. He also coached and trained professional teams in Europe as well as college and aspiring professional players nationwide. He is coaching in childcare centers along with public evening clinics in our Brookfield, Ohio market.

Abbey Freese, a native of Midwest Ohio, graduated from West Liberty-Salem High School in 2003 and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2012. She made history as the first female athlete at WL-S to earn 12 varsity letters, excelling in basketball (4), cross country (4), track & field (3) and softball (1). In her senior year, she received honorable mention for Ohio's All-State women's basketball team. Abbey continued her basketball career at Longwood University, a small Division I school in Virginia, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2008. She later pursued a Master's degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Fl. She is currently working in sports marketing and coaching in Central Ohio.

Aaron Coldren, born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, earned his B.A. in Technical Writing from Wright State University (2012) and his master's degree in Information Science from Kent State University (2013). He has an accomplished background in four major sports: basketball, lacrosse, wrestling, and football. He has a passion for teaching youth sports. Two years ago, he began his rewarding journey of coaching his daughter's recreational league soccer and basketball teams. He now coaches in our Central Ohio region.

Marcus Parker, a native of Canton, Ohio, is a graduate of Canton McKinley High School (Class of 2006), where he was a four-year varsity letterman & two-time state champion (2005 & 2006). He went on to play collegiate basketball at the University of Findlay (2006–2010), serving as a four-year starting point guard and helping lead his team to an undefeated season and NCAA Division II National Championship in 2009 (36-0). Marcus brings over 15 years of experience in sports training & player development. He has coached both boys & girls basketball at his alma mater, McKinley High School, for six years. He is the founder of Parker Elite Basketball LLC, a player development program dedicated to training youth & young adults. Additionally, he co-founded Swish Parker Elite, a nonprofit AAU program committed to empowering youth through competitive basketball opportunities & community engagement. Marcus is coaching in the Pickerington/Pataskala region.

Kareem Caldwell, a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, earned his degree in Education and has always pursued his passion for teaching and sports. He has been involved in youth athletics for over 15 years, beginning when he first coached his oldest son. What started as a way to support his children soon became a lasting commitment to helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. About 10 years ago, Kareem discovered a particular passion for basketball, and since then he has coached numerous youth teams and trained athletes across a wide variety of sports. Kareem will be coaching in the Blacklick & Central Columbus region.
